The New Business Model team sets the global dCommerce strategy for supply chain. Our team identifies opportunities in Unilever’s dCom SC around the world and comes up with new, innovative solutions to improve efficiencies, use new technologies and leverage new business models to exponentially grow Unilever’s dCommerce business.
This is a new role and is pivotal in designing and implementing new solutions required across markets to solve the challenges and opportunities we face together with Amazon/Shopee/Lazada.

This role will report to Global dCom Customer Supply Chain Lead, business partnering the Lazada/Shopee/Amazon local CD & SC teams within Asia.
Who you are and what you’ll do:
You are a proven leader, as you will lead the dCom agenda across a number of key transformative SC workstreams for Lazada/Shopee and the NBM team. You have experience of working cross functionally and with numerous business partners and senior stakeholders, forging close links with CD, BU’s, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and our BG SC teams to name a few.
Part of your job will be to develop and implement solutions across BUs. This will require good stakeholder management, an ability to hold others accountable, discover and share best practices across markets, cultivate a sense of community and think outside of the box.
As well as developing the SC relationship with Lazada/Shopee, you will have ownership over workstreams within one or more of our team’s 5 strategic pillars. These include 1) Customer Experience, 2) eCom Fulfilment, 3) Profitable Growth, 5) Performance Management and 5) People & Organization. There is room for you to own and drive the agenda with a degree of autonomy, so creative leadership is important as well as data-driven decision making and delivering tangible results in the markets. You will be responsible for:
Optimize the operational foundations with Lazada/Shopee
- Aligning global and local KPI’s, whilst continually building and supporting the creation of strong business to business relationships
- Brilliant basics across markets, ensuring we are driving our understanding, whilst step changing improvements in the KPI’s and ways of working with customers.
- Support new countries to make the changes needed with your SC playbooks and roadmaps – helping them to maximize on sales and efficiencies
- Define, codify and share best practice to enhance ways of working with dCom customers, building new joint capabilities (e.g. Marketplace model, Cross border model, Sustainability agenda, etc)
- Linking with your partner functions, ensure SC supports the goal of our products being available, found and bought online – tangibly driving our growth agenda
- Define and implement end to end cost value opportunities - Look for ways to create efficiencies for the Unilever SC, you will include dCom customer SC and Data ecosystem/capability into the relevant SC forums and contribute to Unilever SC Digital transformation
- Build relationships with Shopee/Lazada and ensure that SC is represented in Local, Regional and Global Joint Business Plans and drive value
What you’ll need to succeed:
We are looking for a candidate that is ambitious, you will have the built in drive to propel us forward to achieve our global Turnover ambition, key skills and experience will ideally include:
- Strong Supply Chain, eCom and project management knowledge and skills, you will need to be comfortable in leading within our current SC as well as designing and delivering what it needs to be
- Experienced with South East Asia dCom business/operational model management.
- Business acumen and rigour to create and codify repeatable models/capabilities and deployment plan
- Experienced in managing and driving success through virtual teams
- A great influencer, with the ability to work closely with a spectrum of people, from day to day contacts to the Heads of Supply Chain teams and our partners
- A team player, with good listening skills and strong business partnering experience
- Experience of leading and developing customer relationships at all levels (ideally including eCom customers)
- Curiosity - being comfortable to explore white spaces and establish new ways of working vs adhering to existing ones
- Ability to embrace change – whilst also being able to deal with ambiguity
